EMC filters reduce the transmission of electromagnetic noise between the inverter and the mains. All Optidrives are equipped with an internal EMC filter as standard, for most industrial applications this will suffice. If higher filtering is desired or required, the external EMC filter can be added to either a drive that already has the internal EMC filter or an inverter without an EMC filter. The best results are achieved through a filtered drive and the correct external EMC filter.
